Soccer Recap: Hillcrest Takes a Loss

Hillcrest and Skyline combined for 23 shots on goal on Saturday, which explains the impressive nine total goals scored. The Knights lost 8-1 to the Grizzlies. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Hillcrest were already down 4-0.

This is the second loss in a row for Hillcrest and nudges their season record down to 4-10-3. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 11-1-2 Idaho Falls (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 70.8% over those games). As for Skyline, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6-3.

Hillcrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Skyline, they will challenge Idaho Falls at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Skyline's defense better be ready for this one: Idaho Falls have averaged an impressive 3.6 goals per game this season.
