Softball Recap: Wendell Trojans vs. Melba Mustangs

There's no place like home for Wendell, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Melba Mustangs 5-3. That's more bragging rights for Wendell, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Breanna Comstock was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. Comstock was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last three times she's played.
