Flag Football Game Preview: Highlands Ranch Falcons vs. Mountain Vista Golden Eagles

The Highlands Ranch Falcons will face off against the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Highlands Ranch hasn't scored more than 12 points for ten games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

On Friday, Highlands Ranch had to suffer through a 53-6 loss at the hands of Douglas County. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado flag football rankings (they are ranked 54th, while the Huskies are ranked eighth).

Meanwhile, while Mountain Vista put up plenty of points on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Heritage. The Golden Eagles took their game with ease, bagging a 47-0 victory over the Eagles. Fans of the Golden Eagles have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Mountain Vista's win bumped their record up to 14-0. As for Highlands Ranch, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Highlands Ranch took a serious blow against Mountain Vista in their previous meeting back in August of 2024, falling 55-0. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Golden Eagles' Ariana Akey, who threw for 149 yards and five touchdowns while completing 75% of her passes. Now that the Falcons know the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
