Volleyball Recap: Phoenix Country Day's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Phoenix Country Day can now relate to. They came up short against the North Valley Christian Academy Lions on Thursday, falling 3-0. The shutout was out of character for the Eagles seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-15, 25-19.

North Valley Christian Academy was led to victory by Brooke Lovas and Suzy Goold. Lovas had 14 assists and six digs, while Goold had ten digs and two aces. That's the most digs Goold has posted since back in September of 2024.

With the defeat, Phoenix Country Day broke their five-match winning streak and moved their record to 23-4. As for North Valley Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 31-7 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Phoenix Country Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Valley Christian Academy, they will challenge Scottsdale Christian Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
