The victory was all the more spectacular given the Purple Riders' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 118th in Ohio, while the Maroon Knights are ranked 29th in West Virginia).

Meanwhile, Warren lost to Minford on the road by a 47-30 margin on Saturday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
