The Randolph-Macon Academy Yellow Jackets are still undefeated this season after their matchup against the King Abdullah Academy Falcons on Saturday, but the King Abdullah Academy Falcons came as close as anyone has to beating them. Randolph-Macon Academy sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 79-77 victory over King Abdullah Academy. Randolph-Macon Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Randolph-Macon Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bilal Kebbay led the charge by scoring 39 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Kebbay has scored at least 25% of Randolph-Macon Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chidera George, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds.

Despite the loss, King Abdullah Academy still got an impressive performance from Adira Ahmed, who scored 29 points along with three steals. Ahmed set a new season high mark in points with 29. Another player making a difference was Anas Drissi, who scored 18 points.

Randolph-Macon Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for King Abdullah Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

Randolph-Macon Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Fishburne Military at 6:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. As for King Abdullah Academy, they will be playing at home against Christ Chapel Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Christ Chapel Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
