Football Recap: Temecula Valley Falls Short of Irvine in the Playoffs + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Temecula Valley can now relate to. They received a blow on Friday as they fell 24-7 to the Irvine Vaqueros. Having soared to a lofty 38 points in the game before, the Golden Bears couldn't push the score so high this time.

Even if they lost, Temecula Valley's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Brady Adams was especially locked on to Irvine's QB and sacked him twice. Adams also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with nine.

Irvine's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Seamus Hoffman, who rushed for 108 yards on only 15 carries.

Temecula Valley dropped their record down to 5-6 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Irvine, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.

Temecula Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Irvine, they will head out on the road to challenge Quartz Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vaqueros will need to watch out since the Royals have now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests.
