Basketball Recap: Ryah Denhalter's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Snowflake over Pueblo

If Snowflake was riding high fresh off their 45-15 takedown of Amphitheater on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lobos fell just short of the Pueblo Warriors by a score of 50-47 on Tuesday. The loss was the Lobos' first of the season.

Snowflake lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ryah Denhalter, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards. Denhalter is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Ranell West was another key player, putting up eight points and 15 rebounds.

Pueblo was led to victory by America Cazares and Brooklyn Espinoza. Cazares posted 29 points and five steals, while Espinoza dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Snowflake fell to 3-1. As for Pueblo, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Snowflake has already played their next contest, a 46-16 victory against Flowing Wells on the 26th. As for Pueblo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 51-37 defeat against Sunnyside on the 26th.
