Faith Baptist lost against Vasquez back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Faith Baptist Contenders took a hard 62-46 fall against the Vasquez Mustangs. The Contenders' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Vasquez got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carter Parker out in front who went 9 for 19 on his way to 21 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. With that strong performance, Parker is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Daeron Bankett was another key player, putting up ten points along with eight assists and seven boards.

Faith Baptist's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Vasquez, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Faith Baptist will host The Palmdale Aerospace Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in The Palmdale Aerospace Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine contests. As for Vasquez, they will challenge Palmdale Academy Charter School at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
