Lakota West is 8-1 against Hamilton since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Firebirds will challenge the Big Blue at 7:00 p.m. Lakota West's defense has only allowed 14 points per game this season, so Hamilton's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Lakota West is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Lakota East just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a hard 42-28 fall against the Thunderhawks. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Firebirds, who until this contest were averaging 14 points allowed.

Despite the loss, Lakota West got top-tier performance from Kenyon Norman, who rushed for 164 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Tyson Davis was in the mix too, providing the Firebirds with two TDs.

Meanwhile, Hamilton had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 23-10 win over the Cardinals. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Big Blue's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 157th, while the Cardinals are ranked 321st).

Lakota West's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Hamilton, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Everything came up roses for Lakota West against Hamilton in their previous matchup back in September, as the team secured a 38-6 win. Do the Firebirds have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Big Blue turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
