Volleyball Recap: Laurel Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Laurel extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 3-9. They fell 3-1 to the Wise Pumas. While the Spartans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Pumas 25-18 in the first set.

As for Wise, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 3-9 Laurel and 2-6 DuVal.

Lalah Washington continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, getting 18 kills, 13 aces, 11 digs, and two blocks. She has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 21 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoey Boyd, who had 25 digs.

Laurel has already played their next match (against DuVal), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Wise, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Parkdale at 6:30 p.m.
