Baseball Recap: Benson Comes Up Short

Benson was the 14-4 winner over Browerville when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. Benson came up short against Browerville on Tuesday, falling 12-2.

Adrian Young made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

Benson's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Browerville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season.

Benson will host Long Prairie-Grey Eagle at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Thunder's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Benson's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Browerville, they are taking a road trip to square off against Osakis at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
