Football Recap: San Ramon Valley Piles Up the Points Against Hayward + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Clovis North, San Ramon Valley was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Hayward Farmers 44-7. The matchup marked the Wolves' most dominant win of the season so far.

San Ramon Valley can attribute much of their success to Cole Dawes, who threw for 184 yards and three TDs while completing 85.7% of his passes.

San Ramon Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Blake Frechman and Owen Power. Power got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Despite the loss, Hayward still got an impressive performance from Maurice Hall, who rushed for 70 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 40 receiving yards.

San Ramon Valley now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Hayward, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Coming up, San Ramon Valley will look to defend their home field on Friday against Granada at 7:15 p.m. As for Hayward, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Piedmont at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. The Farmers will be up against the Highlanders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.2 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
