Volleyball Recap: Minford Comes Up Short

If Minford was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Northwest on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons lost 3-0 to the Adena Warriors on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2018.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-8, 25-17.

Kerigan Davis paced Minford's offense, picking up seven kills. Davis got some help from Savanna Barker and her 13 assists.

Kimmy Dalton had a dynamite game For Adena., getting 17 digs and three aces. Dalton is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 13 games she's played.

Minford has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season. As for Adena, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-1.

Minford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Adena, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southeastern at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
