Volleyball Recap: Homer Comes Up Short

Homer came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Wynot Blue Devils, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 on October 2nd.

Chayce Abts paced Homer's offense, picking up 12 kills. Abts got some help from Madi Roeber and her 26 assists. Annah Harris controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Homer's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Wynot, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-4.

Homer didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Wausa on the 21st. As for Wynot, they have also already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Tri County Northeast on the 21st.
