Basketball Recap: Hillcrest Christian Takes a Loss

If Hillcrest Christian was riding high fresh off their 76-28 takedown of Clinton Christian Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars lost to the St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints at home by a 63-45 margin on Tuesday.

Despite the loss, Hillcrest Christian still got an impressive performance from Darius Barnes, who posted 17 points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Taylor Milton, who earned eight points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Hillcrest Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Hillcrest Christian is taking a road trip to face off against Discovery Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 68-49 win against Richton on the 13th.
