Wisconsin Lutheran had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 68-65 victory over the Pike Red Devils on Wednesday. The win was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on 11 straight dating back to last season.

Wisconsin Lutheran was led to victory by Zavier Zens and Kager Knueppel. Zens went 13-for-27 on his way to 33 points and eight rebounds, while Knueppel dropped a double-double with 22 points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Kinston Knueppel, who posted nine points and five rebounds.

Pike's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Wisconsin Lutheran will face off against Waukesha North at 7:00 p.m. on December 5. As for Pike, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-46 victory against Hamilton Southeastern on the 29th.
