Basketball Recap: Houston's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

After flying high against Wenonah on Tuesday, Houston came back down to earth. The Mustangs received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 53-37 to the Dyersburg Trojans. The contest marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Dyersburg can attribute much of their success to Chelby Jordan, who went 6-for-14 en route to 19 points and five rebounds. Jordan is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Kayleign Hockett was another key player, shooting 42% from the field to rack up 12 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Houston fell to 5-1. As for Dyersburg, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Houston has already played their next matchup, a 48-29 loss against Whitehaven on the 26th. As for Dyersburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 63-35 defeat against Earle on the 5th.
