Football Recap: Culpeper County Falls Short of Skyline in the Playoffs + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Culpeper County can now relate to. They were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 14-13 to the Skyline Hawks. Having soared to a lofty 49 points in the game before, the Blue Devils couldn't push the score so high this time.

Zayden Burks produced another solid effort rushing for 183 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.6 yards per carry for Skyline. Burks' rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his tenth straight game with at least 124 rushing yards.

Culpeper County's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4. As for Skyline, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3.

Culpeper County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Skyline, they are taking a road trip to challenge Kettle Run at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars' defense has only allowed 5.5 points per game this season, so the Hawks' offense will have their work cut out for them.
