Volleyball Recap: Regina Dominican Gets the Win

Regina Dominican posted their closest win since October 19, 2024 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the South Elgin Storm. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Brianna Decheva and Paige Genke certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Decheva had nine digs and two aces, while Genke had 11 assists and three digs.

Regina Dominican's win bumped their record up to 17-14. As for South Elgin, with the loss, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 22-8.

Regina Dominican has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Fenton on the 18th. As for South Elgin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Elgin on the 18th.
