Softball Game Preview: Cardinal O'Hara Lions vs. Nazareth Academy Pandas

The Cardinal O'Hara Lions will take on the Nazareth Academy Pandas at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Cardinal O'Hara fell victim to Springfield and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Nazareth Academy came up short against Merion Mercy Academy on Tuesday and fell 9-5. The Pandas have struggled against the Golden Bears recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Alaira Rios was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three doubles, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Mikalic, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Cardinal O'Hara's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Nazareth Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
