Volleyball Game Preview: Hilliard Davidson Wildcats vs. Upper Arlington Golden Bears

The Hilliard Davidson Wildcats will take on the Upper Arlington Golden Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hilliard Davidson will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Olentangy Liberty, who they had gone 0-7 against in their seven prior meetings. The Wildcats walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Patriots on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Hilliard Davidson was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 16-25, 25-15, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Upper Arlington entered their tilt with Hayes on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Pacers 3-0.

While Upper Arlington won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 26-24, 25-5.

Upper Arlington pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Hilliard Davidson, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Everything went Hilliard Davidson's way against Upper Arlington in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Hilliard Davidson made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Golden Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
