Basketball Recap: Brayleigh Stuebs Key Part of Team Effort in Raiders Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pueblo, Cibola was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Amphitheater Panthers by a score of 36-26.

Cibola's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brayleigh Stuebs, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaida Bosch, who earned six points in addition to seven rebounds and seven steals.

Defeat or not, Amphitheater got some senior leadership from Kayla Tuakalau and Monica Verrett. Tuakalau put up 11 points, while Verrett scored ten points. That was a full 42.3% of the Panthers' points, marking the fifth time in a row Tuakalau has had more than a third of the team's points. Dia Garcia also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

Cibola's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Amphitheater, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, Cibola and Show Low will face off at 1:20 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest, having both just played. As for Amphitheater, they will look to defend their home court on December 4 against Pusch Ridge Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m.
