Football Game Preview: Magna Vista Warriors vs. George Washington Eagles + How To Watch

Magna Vista and George Washington are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2016, but not for long. The Warriors will face off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a nine-game winning streak alive.

Magna Vista's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They breezed past Halifax County to the tune of 42-0. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

Magna Vista can attribute much of their success to Tyler Martin, who picked up 190 receiving yards. Those 190 receiving yards gave Martin a new career-high.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for George Washington against Tunstall on Friday as the team secured a 50-8 victory. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Trojans are ranked 261st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Magna Vista better keep an eye on Stanford Lipscomb. He was instrumental in George Washington's win, rushing for 36 yards and two touchdowns.

Magna Vista's record now sits at 9-0. As for George Washington, their record is now 8-1.

Magna Vista came up short against George Washington when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 42-36. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
