Yuma had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Desert Sunrise Golden Hawks a 1-0 shutout.

Josef Pastrana looked comfortable as he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since March 1st.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Deven Aguirrebarrena, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run. Isaiah Villalobos Orozco also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
