Football Recap: Waterford Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

It's playoff time, and Waterford had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Bullard-Havens Tigers by a score of 21-12 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lancers.

It was another big night for Jax Higgins, who rushed for 81 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 62 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. What's more, he also racked up 160 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October.

When it comes to explaining why Bullard-Havens lost, don't look at Joshua Headley. Despite the final result, he rushed for 206 yards and one touchdown. Headley is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 120 every time he's taken the field this season.

Waterford pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.0 points per game. As for Bullard-Havens, they moved to 7-4 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Waterford didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-7 defeat against Killingly on the 8th. Bullard-Havens does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
