Basketball Game Preview: University Trojans vs. Arlington Heights Yellowjackets

The University Trojans will be taking part in a tournament against the Arlington Heights Yellowjackets at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, University came up short against Horn and fell 44-36.

Meanwhile, Arlington Heights ended up a good deal behind Kennedale on Tuesday and lost 81-65. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

University will have to contain Kaeden Grant as he made an impact in Arlington Heights' last game. He went 11-for-25 to rack up 29 points and seven boards. The game was Grant's third in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Nhial Lam, who shot 86% from the field on his way to 14 points and seven rebounds.

Arlington Heights' loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for University, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

University couldn't quite get it done against Arlington Heights in their previous meeting back in December of 2018 as they fell 42-30. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
