Basketball Recap: Apex Friendship Takes a Loss

Apex Friendship managed to slip by Seaforth the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Patriots were beaten by the Hawks 54-25 on Tuesday. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-10.

Luwam Beniyam was Apex Friendship's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Maggie Stam held things down on the boards with six rebounds. Jordan Rooney took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.

Apex Friendship's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Seaforth, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Apex Friendship will head out to face off against East Chapel Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seaforth, they will square off against Chapel Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
