Troy's season-opener on Friday wasn't quite what the team was looking for considering the end result. They and the Fairmont Firebirds finished up their match with a 1-1 draw. The outcome might've been different if Avery Noll hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited her ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Troy will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Valley View at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fairmont, they will welcome Butler at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
