Volleyball Recap: Conway Springs Takes a Loss

The Conway Springs Cardinals didn't have quite enough to beat the Oakley Plainsmen on Friday and fell 2-1. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Conway Springs sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-23, 18-25, 25-19.

Lairen Pauly paced Conway Springs' offense, picking up 15 kills. Pauly got some help from Lanie Hartman and her 30 assists. Adysen Conkle controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Conway Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 26-14. As for Oakley, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 37-4 record this season.

Conway Springs has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Jefferson County North on the 31st. As for Oakley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Valley Heights on the 31st.
