Football Recap: Bound Brook Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bound Brook can now relate to. They were beaten by the Burlington City Blue Devils 48-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 307th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 103rd).

Donte Davis was nothing short of spectacular for Burlington City: he rushed for 250 yards and three TDs on only eight carries. Those 250 rushing yards gave Davis a new career-high.

Bound Brook is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5. As for Burlington City, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Bound Brook does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Burlington City, they will challenge Manville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least 31 points in their last eight matchups.
