Basketball Game Preview: Grant Park Dragons vs. Clifton Central Comets

Grant Park is 2-7 against Clifton Central since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Grant Park Dragons will welcome the Clifton Central Comets at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Monday, Grant Park was able to grind out a solid win over Grace Christian Academy, taking the game 50-37.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Clifton Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Everything went their way against Beecher on Monday as Clifton Central made off with a 58-34 victory. The Comets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 23 points or more this season.

Clifton Central has also been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 19 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.1 points per game. As for Grant Park, their win bumped their record up to 9-12.
