Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gering). They breezed by the Scottsbluff Bearcats to the tune of 74-46 on Saturday. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 28 points or more this season.

Gering's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacey Cochran, who went 8 of 11 en route to 22 points in addition to six boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Cochran a new career-high in points. Makenzie Todd was another key player, going 6 for 9 on her way to 17 points and four steals.

Gering was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Gering's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Scottsbluff, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Gering has already played their next matchup (against Mitchell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. After both having extra time off, Scottsbluff and Alliance will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another on February 7th.
