Thatcher had won three straight games and Isaac Palmer did his part to make it four on Wednesday. The Thatcher Eagles took down the Morenci Wildcats 72-54 thanks in part to Palmer, who shot 7-for-12 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 31 points and 16 rebounds. The game was his fifth in a row with at least 17 points.

Chad Johnson was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten assists. That's the most assists he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Thatcher's victory bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Morenci, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 24-4.

Thatcher wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 98-74 loss against Sabino on the 6th. As for Morenci, they have also already played their next match, a 68-40 win against Bisbee on the 6th.
