Volleyball Recap: Cosby Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Cosby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cocke County Fighting Cocks. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Fighting Cocks when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cosby took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-15, 26-28, 25-14, 15-12.

Cosby's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Cocke County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-18.

Looking ahead, Cosby will take on Washburn at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cocke County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Greeneville on the 27th.
