Jal took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Tatum, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Coyotes on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since August 23rd.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (105-104) Jal actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-23, 22-25, 25-20, 15-12.

The win made it two in a row for Jal and bumps their season record up to 11-9. As for Tatum, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.

Jal wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Loving on the 30th. As for Tatum, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Hagerman on the 30th.
