Basketball Recap: Stevensville Takes a Loss

Stevensville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Florence-Carlton Falcons, falling 66-46. The Yellowjackets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-17.

Despite the loss, Stevensville still got an impressive performance from Jake Gavlak, who posted 20 points.

Stevensville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Florence-Carlton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Stevensville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 78-34 loss against Butte Central Catholic on the 8th. As for Florence-Carlton, they have also already played their next contest, a 71-42 victory against Powell County on the 7th.
