Basketball Recap: Booker T. Washington Takes a Loss

Booker T. Washington saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Kirby Cougars 57-28. The loss put an end to the Warriors' undefeated start to the season.

Booker T. Washington lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Le'Anna Carpenter, who posted ten points. That was a full 35.7% of Booker T. Washington's points, marking the third time in a row Carpenter has put up more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Briunna Burnside, who earned seven points along with six rebounds and six steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Booker T. Washington fell to 2-1. As for Kirby, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Booker T. Washington will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cordova at 6:00 p.m. on December 5. As for Kirby, they will take on Memphis Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
