Baseball Game Preview: Crawford County Eagles vs. Pike County Pirates

The Crawford County Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Pike County Pirates at 5:55 p.m. on Wednesday. Crawford County is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pike County). They put the hurt on Luella with a sharp 11-2 victory on Tuesday. The Pirates have beaten the Lions the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Lions has come to flipping the script.

Crawford County pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.25 runs across that stretch. As for Pike County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.
