Basketball Game Preview: Lake Marion Gators vs. Woodland Wolverines

The Lake Marion Gators will face off against the Woodland Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Tuesday, Lake Marion came up short against North and fell 56-44. The Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Lake Marion got top-tier performance from Zimarika Moorer, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Moorer is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last nine games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Rayleigh Davis, who posted eight points.

Meanwhile, Woodland had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They claimed a resounding 63-3 victory over Branchville. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-0.

Lake Marion now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Woodland, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
