Recap: Ashland Blue Devils vs. Falkner Eagles
The Ashland Blue Devils lost against the Falkner Eagles back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Ashland fell 47-38 to Falkner. Ashland has not had much luck with Falkner recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Ashland saw an underclassman step up: Paris Steward scored six points.
Ashland has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Falkner, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-6.
Ashland won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Pine Grove at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. Pine Grove will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Falkner will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Ashland at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
