Basketball Game Preview: Blue River Valley Vikings vs. Frankton Eagles

The Blue River Valley Vikings will take on the Frankton Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Blue River Valley: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Frankton has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.

Last Friday, Blue River Valley came up short against Wes-Del and fell 56-48.

Meanwhile, Frankton's game on Tuesday was all tied up 22-22 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 46-39 win over Shenandoah.

Frankton is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points over those games. Blue River Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-16.

Blue River Valley came up short against Frankton when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 54-47. Thankfully for Blue River Valley, Austin Nunley (who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
