San Clemente never let their opponents score on Thursday. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Tesoro Titans. This was payback for the Tritons, who suffered a 15-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The result came thanks to Luca Cifuentes's shutout, as she gave up just five hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Emily Racine -Weber State, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Puka Iosua -LMU, who went 2-for-3 with one triple.

San Clemente hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tesoro struck out six times.

The win made it two in a row for San Clemente and bumps their season record up to 15-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Tesoro, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Clemente will take on Woodrow Wilson at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Bruins will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Tesoro, they will face off against Capistrano Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
