Softball Recap: Northeast Takes a Loss

Northeast lost against Springfield back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles lost 12-2 to the Yellow Jackets. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Makayla Tusie made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Julie Rollins, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Northeast's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Springfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9-1.

Looking ahead, Northeast will host Pope John Paul II at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Springfield, they will take on Beech at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
