Volleyball Recap: Northside Takes Down Amundsen in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Northside had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Amundsen Vikings 2-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 back in September.

Leading Northside to victory were Lily Fisher and Evy Chan. Fisher had six digs and two aces, while Chan had 14 digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Chan a new career-high in assists (six). Ashlyn McLennan also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

The win got Northside back to even at 16-16. As for Amundsen, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-21.

Northside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Saint Viator on the 30th. Amundsen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
