Bruceville-Eddy came out on top against Aquilla on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fifth inning. The Eagles' pitchers stepped up to hand the Cougars a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Eagles have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Brandon Bury was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mateo Valle, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Bruceville-Eddy and bumps their season record up to 6-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Aquilla, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Bruceville-Eddy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-0 defeat against Valley Mills on the 7th. As for Aquilla, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-6 win against Jonesboro on the 6th.
