Football Game Preview: Mangham Dragons vs. Rayville Hornets

The Mangham Dragons will take on the Rayville Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mangham has given up an average of 26.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mangham is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Ouachita Christian just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 35-14. The contest marked the Dragons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Rayville entered their tilt with Beekman Charter on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 22-17 W against the Tigers.

Mangham's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-2. As for Rayville, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Everything came up roses for Mangham against Rayville in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 34-0 win. Will the Dragons repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
