Football Recap: Wisner-Pilger Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wisner-Pilger can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 51-6 loss at the hands of the Sandy Creek Cougars. The contest marked the Gators' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Sandy Creek's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kam Sealey, who threw for 211 yards and five touchdowns on perfect 14-for-14 passing, and also rushed for 67 yards and one TD. That's the most passing touchdowns Sealey has posted since back in September. Kaeden Schmidt was in the mix as well, providing Sandy Creek with two scores.

Wisner-Pilger's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Sandy Creek, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Wisner-Pilger does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sandy Creek, they will square off against Bridgeport at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups.
