Basketball Recap: Edgewood Academy Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

Edgewood Academy had won two straight road games and Lexie Smith did her part to make it three on Friday. The Edgewood Academy Wildcats blew past the Banks Academy Jets 50-1 thanks in part to Smith, who went 11 of 15 on her way to 26 points and seven steals. The game was her 12th in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kadie Bence, who posted four points. That's the most points she has posted since back in January of 2024.

Edgewood Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.1 points per game. As for Banks Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Edgewood Academy will face off against Restoration Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for Banks Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Edgewood Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st.
