Volleyball Recap: Thurston Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Melvindale on Thursday, Thurston came back down to earth. The Eagles came up short against the Academy of the Sacred Heart Gazelles on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gazelles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Thurston's loss dropped their record down to 5-5-2. As for Academy of the Sacred Heart, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11.

Coming up, Thurston will take on Redford Union at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Academy of the Sacred Heart, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Roeper at 6:45 p.m. on the 24th.
